PEACE AND QUIET: THE ESTERO SAN JOSE
When we travel we like to see and try new things. Even if we’ve been there before. There’s just nothing like discovering a new spot in a familiar place. Sometimes it’s a beach, other times it’s a restaurant. In this case, it’s an estuary. Many visitors to Los Cabos will hit up Medano Beach (of course), snorkel at Chileno, and dine downtown, while never venturing a few short miles to the beautiful San Jose Estuary. This is a tropical estuary where the freshwater of the Rio San Jose meets salt water. It’s also an ideal spot to wander in peace, bird watch and kayak.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Odile did leave a scar on the estuary. Some of the walkways and trails were destroyed in 2014, but the beauty is still there. Take a short, easy walk with a friend as you enjoy the stunning San Jose Estuary.
